Cookie Policy
Last updated 9 September 2026
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies — local storage and session storage — which work the same way. This page explains what we store and why.
1. Strictly necessary
- Sign-in session — keeps you logged in as you move between your dashboard, trips and planner. Without it, member areas cannot work.
- Security — helps protect forms and sign-in against abuse.
These are always on because the site cannot function without them.
2. Preference storage
- Location opt-in — if you allow the Explorer map to use your location, we remember that choice in your browser so we don't ask on every visit. Turning it off in the Explorer clears it.
- Interface preferences — small settings such as filters or the last tab you had open.
3. Third-party services
- Google Maps — the Explorer map loads from Google and may set its own cookies to deliver map tiles and remember map settings. See Google's own privacy and cookie notices for detail.
- Sign in with Google — if you choose Google sign-in, Google sets cookies as part of that flow.
4. Analytics and advertising
We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
5. Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies and clear local storage, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and stop member features from working. You can also revoke location access for this site in your browser's site permissions at any time.
